Service Deliverables

EDE service deliverables cover an extremely wide cross-selection of services ranging from planning, documenting, building, testing, resolving, executing, and delivering e-business integration services.  

All of the service deliverables can be provided on a separate or combined basis to develop a short or long-term project designed to minimize impact on the customer’s business, while providing the benefit of drawing upon EDE’s strong, highly skilled professional consultants.

Most importantly, these Service Deliverables can either be provided on-site at the customer location or remotely (i.e., via dial-up access or telephone support), or a combination of both as appropriate.

The Service Deliverables are identified as, but are not limited to the following:  

Architecture and Planning

Our consultants are equipped with experience, knowledge, and tools to conduct and document a thorough Gap Analysis and a Technical Detailed Design.  

The architectural consultants understand the IT technology landscape.  They provide an understanding of current technologies to the customer.  They validate the applicability of current technologies to the IT product and market objectives.  The consultants are able to write white papers on current technologies and their applicability to the customer’s need at hand.  They are able to write product architectural specifications applicable to the IT product implementation.  They will ensure integrity and consistency of functionality across the IT product/system.

 Installation and Implementation

Software product installation, product upgrades, product maintenance application or basic software product support (either on-site or via telephone) are offered by our team of consultants.

This Service Deliverable will involve pre-planning for the installation, installing the software product from the media provided, performing baseline testing for basic functionality, and configuring/customizing the product to meet the needs of the customer and their computer environment.  

Testing and Problem Resolution

Our consultants have the expertise and tools to plan for thorough and extensive software product or system testing.  This testing can be performed at the component level or extensive Quality Assurance/Integration testing.  We can document and conduct testing to any level of detail the customer desires.

The testing begins with an overall Test Approach document with features such as:

• - Scope of testing for each individual component or product

  • - Dependencies or Entry Criteria

  • - Exit Criteria

  • - Regression Test Approach

  • - Failure Resolution

  • - Test Tracking and Reporting

  • - Test Data Strategy

  • - Test Environment Overview

Following the Approach, Test Plans are documented in detail with features such as:

  • - The Number of Scripts for each Test Condition

Accompanying the Test Plans, our consultants can create detailed Test Scripts containing features such as:

• - Script Name and Test Condition Number (corresponding to the Test Plan)

Following the creation of all testing documentation, Testing is Executed and the results are tracked.  

Following test execution, our consultants will fully document the results in a Test Findings Report which consists of the following:

• - Details of each problem surfaced during testing and the end result

  • - Summary of tests completed, partially completed, postponed and cancelled

  • - Tracked results of each test conducted

  • - Summary of recommendations

Production Deployment Services

EDE consultants are fully trained in migrating software, systems, and solutions from test to production environments.  Additionally, we have extensive experience in testing with and deploying the exchange of information with members or trading partners in your
